How a rescue works

From the shelter door to the front door.

This is what your gift pays for, in the order it happens.

  1. STEP 1
    Taken in from Animal Control

Stray, abused, and neglected dogs come to us from local Animal Control.

  2. STEP 2
    Not claimed, now ours

If no owner comes forward, the dog's care becomes our responsibility.

  3. STEP 3
    Full vet workup

Bloodwork, up-to-date shots, and spay or neuter for every dog.

  4. STEP 4
    Whatever else they need

Dental cleanings and extractions. Heart conditions that mean medication for life, and more. Every situation is different.

  5. STEP 5
    Furever home

Healthy, vetted, and ready: we stay with them until they're adopted.

Keep giving

Join The Pack.

Some dogs leave Animal Control needing a dental cleaning and extractions. Some have heart conditions and will need medication for the rest of their lives. Regular donors are how we say yes to those dogs too. Set a monthly reminder, or give whenever you can.

What we do
"We stand guard so they don't have to. Every dog deserves love, safety, and a family to call their own."

We take in stray, abused, and neglected dogs from local Animal Control. If no one claims them, they become ours: bloodwork, up-to-date shots, spay or neuter, and whatever else they need, from dental cleanings and extractions to lifelong heart medication, and whatever else comes up. Then we walk them to their furever home.
